About Caroline

Caroline Harris Davila almost threw up before her first speech. She was shaking, convinced she had no business standing at a podium — this was years before she’d stand in Austin as one of the youngest Republican women ever elected to the Texas House of Representatives.

She grew up in Round Rock, where her father planted a church when she was young and the family spent Christmases going door to door in apartment complexes for Vacation Bible School. That upbringing hard-coded a default toward service long before politics entered the picture. After earning a master’s in Public Affairs from UT Austin’s LBJ School, she spent seven years advising State Senator Bryan Hughes on Capitol policy, learning how government actually works from the inside.

She ran for House District 52 at 27 with no money, no campaign infrastructure, and a public speaking phobia she’d carried her whole life. She won anyway. Today she represents Williamson County and Round Rock in Austin, championing healthcare transparency and fighting for policies that reflect the community she’s called home her entire life.

“I ran with no money, no connections, and a public speaking phobia. What I had was a moment of clarity about the direction my community was heading.”

“My parents raised me to give back. Not when you have money. Whenever you can give — your time, your talent, your connections — you give.”
