About Lindsay

Lindsay Shappee spent more than twenty years as a banker, most recently as a VP in JP Morgan’s private bank, before she co-founded a roofing company in Round Rock. The switch was not gradual. One meeting at her employer made the decision for her, and within months she and her partners had launched Family Friend Roofing and Construction with a clear premise: bring the rigor of wealth management to the asset most Central Texas homeowners overlook until they have no choice.

She brought the same discipline to her community. Lindsay serves on the executive committee of the Ascension Seton Williamson Foundation, the advisory board of the Chapparel Women’s Club, and the governmental affairs board of the Five Point Board of Realtors. She is a member of the Leadership Round Rock Ascend Class of 2026. She and her partners also teamed with USA Cares and Matt Maples to give a veteran a free roof for Christmas. Lindsay lives in Round Rock with her son Aiden.

In Their Own Words

“Our competition is protecting the community and keeping those storm chasers away so that they know they can call any of us to help with their home.”

Lindsay Shappee, Partner and CFO, Family Friend Roofing and Construction

“I knew who I am as a person, and my partners, and what our core values are. I didn’t have a fear about the success of the company because I knew we would stick to those core values.”

“It’s not just a roof. It’s an asset class and part of your portfolio, and the biggest one for most people.”
